Getting to grips with life's challenges

Welcome to my new Blog! On these pages you can learn more about the various issues that my clients have brought to therapy, for example: bereavement, relationship problems, depression, addiction, self-harming, eating disorders, and illness. Of course, I won't be discussing individual scenarios as this would breach confidentiality. Instead, I will explore issues in a more general way, providing you with a deeper understanding around certain issues, how you might manage those that affect you or someone you love, and what emotional concerns might lie beneath and perhaps be the cause of physical problems.

By reading these pages and hopefully gaining a greater insight into how therapy works, you will come to see how beneficial it can be to talk your problems through with someone who is experienced in supporting people through life's challenges.

I welcome comments and suggestions for future posts, so please feel free to let me know what you think and feel about the topics I write about. Your comments might help others who are struggling with a similar issue.

It won't be possible for me to enter into a therapuetic relationship via the message board, so please don't be offended if I keep my responses brief. Even if it wasn't unethical to counsel people via messages on a blog site, I just couldn't devote the time that someone in difficulty needs or deserves.
