Confidence & Self-Esteem
At times in our lives it can be difficult to feel good about ourselves. For some, a sense of low self-worth is something that feels part of who they are. Whilst for others, it can come following the break- up of a relationship, the loss of a job, or during a time of illness.
When we lack confidence in our abilities, usefulness
or physical appearance, we can experience low motivation and enthusiasm for all the small, but important things in life. It can be difficult to believe in ourselves or feel of value to others: and so this can be a very lonely, distressing time.
When faced with making a difficult decision, such as leaving a job, ending or starting a relationship, or embarking on a new venture, lacking confidence and self-esteem can make it even more fraught with doubt and uncertainty. We find ourselves caught between knowing what we want but lacking the courage to go for it. Sometimes, all we need to do is trust and believe in ourselves and our ability to cope with the results of decisions we make.
